1. Ben Thanh Market

Ben Thanh Market is the biggest market in District 1 - The heart of Ho Chi Minh City. It was built in 1912, experienced many years of vicissitudes of the war with many restorations. It is now considered the symbol and soul of Saigon.

2. War Remnants Museum

Founded in 1975, it is a destination not to be missed for those who come to Saigon, especially those who love history.

It has many images and artifacts of the war crimes in Vietnam as Agent Orange, which millions of Vietnamese suffer the consequences to this day.

In 2018, TripAdvisor Readers voted the War Remnants Museum as one of the top 10 museums in the world.

3. Bui Vien Walking Street

Bui Vien is a street in district 1, where many Western tourists choose to stay and relax (most of them are backpackers). The name “Pho Tay” is named by the local people. This is the multinational and multicultural place because of being not only western tourists but also other locals and foreigners visit here. Having many exciting activities to do and lots of Vietnamese traditional food to try, with affordable price.

4. Cu Chi Tunnels

Cu Chi Tunnels was built in 1946 - 1948, was the revolutionary base of Vietnam soldiers (Viet Cong) supply weapons, ammunition, food, and living quarters during the Indochina War and the Vietnam War.

5. Jade Emperor Pagoda

Jade Emperor Pagoda is an ancient temple, style of Chinese temples decorated with brilliant vignettes. The pagoda was built of bricks, roofs covered with yin-yang tiles, rooftop decoration, roof corners with many colored pottery statues. There are many artworks in the pagoda: altarpieces, statues, altars, pillars and incense made from wooden, ceramic and paper materials.

6. Notre Dame Cathedral

Notre Dame Cathedral is located in the downtown of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The cathedral was constructed between 1863 and 1880. With its unique architecture, it is also considered a symbol of Saigon along with Ben Thanh Market and is a place you should visit once, especially for those who follow Christianity.

Ho Chi Minh City Museum of Fine Arts is built on an area of 3,514m² in art-deco style - the architectural style that harmoniously combines the two schools of Asian and European art. The museum includes three buildings show collections featuring Vietnamese artworks in sculpture, oil, silk painting, and lacquer painting, as well as traditional styles including woodcut paintings in the “Hang Trong”, “Dong Ho”, and “Kim Hoang” styles.
