Banh Xeo

 

Banh Xeo is a typical dish of Vietnam, made mainly from rice flour. Depending on the regions, It has many different ways of processing, but the most popular is the Banh Xeo MienTay( Mekong Delta People's Banh Xeo). It is mainly made of rice flour, pork, shrimp, and bean sprouts. This mixture is poured into the hot skillet and make a big loud "xeoooo". It is typically served with lots of greens, herbs, vegetables and "Banh Trang" ( Vietnamese rice paper). The sauce is made from fish sauce and added some spices such as lemon and sugar.

EXPERIENCES

Vietnamese usually eat Banh Xeo by hand, roll a little Banh Xeo with a few vegetables, dipping into the sauce and enjoy. Due to the rather big cake, a pancake you can roll into 5 -10 rolls.

You look at the sign that shows the words "Bánh Xèo" that's  Banh Xeo restaurant. You should choose the restaurants which have many natives are eating, it would be better.
